When was the Sosyal Akıl Association established? Foundations of our association were first built in 2013, and association status is achieved on 9 September, 2014.

Does Sosyal Akıl Foundation have offices in other cities? Headquarters of our association is located in Istanbul. We do not have branch offices or representatives. You may contact us to be our branch or representative.

 

Does Sosyal Akıl Association operate in any other country? We do not have branch offices or representatives in other countries. We have collaborations for international research, activities, events and projects. We are always open for new collaborations.

 

How does Sosyal Akıl Association operate, what are their principles? We are closely following the latest updates about researches, practices and activities on social needs and issues in the field of childhood and youth via publications, national and international seminars and conferences as well as international networks, facilitating activities, operations and projects with the experience we gained, and present their outcomes to public view. We use our infrastructures of innovation, social innovation, entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, futurism, advocacy in achieving our objectives in order to develop effective, efficient, lasting, collaborative, sustainable, innovative solutions with wide participation. To this end, all of our operations are based on principles of open-mindedness, objectivity, independence and accountability. We aim to create social benefits in the field of social policies by establishing mechanisms to support collaboration of particularly non-governmental, public and private organizations in our operations.

 

What are the operations of Sosyal Akıl Association? In the frame of our objectives, existence philosophy, principles and ever-present values; we operate to develop projects, events and activities concerning determination of children’s and youth’s areas of interests, embracing the society, awareness raising and molding public opinion, scientific researches and surveys, publications, seminars, panels, conferences, courses, certificates, consultancy and educational programs, etc.

How does the Association obtain financial resources? Financial resources of our association comes from membership fees, donations and contributions of natural and corporate bodies, events and campaigns organized in accordance with the provisions of donation collection act. Additionally, financial resources obtained from funds and grants of national and international organizations are used in researches, event and activities carried out by our Association in order to achieve our objectives. Our Association does not accept incomes that may endanger our independence, objectivity and plausibility. You can make cash and in-kind donations from donation page to support Sosyal Akıl Association.

 

MEMBERSHIP

 

How can I be a member of Sosyal Akıl Association? Except for the individuals subject to restrictions under law (soldiers, police, etc.), any natural and legal person may become member of our association. Natural and legal persons wishing to be a member of our association will need to file an application in writing. Association’s board of directors evaluates membership applications in accordance with the provisions of the association’s code book. Volunteers wishing to become a member of our association may review, in the frame of our objectives, existence philosophy, principles and ever-present values; we operate to develop projects, events and activities concerning determination of children’s and youth’s areas of interests, embracing the society, awareness raising and molding public opinion, scientific researches and surveys, publications, seminars, panels, conferences, courses, certificates, consultancy and educational programs, etc. and submit their preliminary applications over our web site to initiate the process.

Or, they can submit their applications through our board of directors members and association members. Members whose applications are approved will be registered to our member register. Additionally, title of honorary membership is awarded to natural or legal persons serving for the association physically or as a complimentary service, providing tangible and intangible benefits. However, memberships are generally assessed based on volunteering services for a period of time.

 

VOLUNTEERING

 

Can I become a volunteer for Sosyal Akıl Association? 

Candidate volunteers who wish to become a volunteer of our Association, may review, in the frame of our objectives, existence philosophy, principles and ever-present values; we operate to develop projects, events and activities concerning determination of children’s and youth’s areas of interests, embracing the society, awareness raising and molding public opinion, scientific researches and surveys, publications, seminars, panels, conferences, courses, certificates, consultancy and educational programs, etc. and submit their preliminary applications using Join Us form on our web site to initiate the process.

We will be pleased to receive your volunteer support in researches, activities, digital media, resource development, management and administrative fields where you can transfer your knowledge and experience to make our researches, activities and events sustainable, and help us improve our capacity. 

 

DONATION

 

How can I make donation to Sosyal Akıl Association? 

 

You can make a single donation or regular donations for our operations or make conditional donation or support for our projects. You may contact us or make donation to our account "Sosyal Akıl Derneği , (Kuveyt Türk - Istanbul Esenler Üçyüzlü Branch, Account No. 10167669, IBAN:  TR20 0020 5000 0101 6766 9000 01).

 

 

Can I make donation over the cell phone? Currently, we are not accepting donations over cell phone.  

 

Can I get a receipt for my donations? If you wish, we deliver donation receipts and a letter of appreciation to our donors, signed by our association. Except for the donations made in person, bank receipts substitute for donation receipt when the amount is donated via bank transfer as per laws.

 

Can I get tax discount for the donations I made to Sosyal Akıl Association? No. Our association does not bear the certificate of public service.

 

Can I make non-cash contribution to Sosyal Akıl Association? (Clothes, office supplies, food, furniture, technological products, etc.) In addition to cash donations, you can also make in kind donations such as research budget, place, food, printed materials, transportation, accommodation, office furniture, photograph/video production service, technological equipment, office supplies, publications or hosting our events and activities.

 

 

How can I/my organization support Sosyal Akıl Association in terms of resource development and funding? 

We can facilitate social responsibility projects and establish collaborations. You can encourage others for charity or create your own charity event. You can purchase our funding products or purchase special occasion certificates or promote their sales to support us
